What area is closest to bicycling and walking trails if I don't own a car and want to get around?
The Harvest District and Downtown Winter Garden are both off of the West Orange Trail. This trail provides 22 miles of scenic routes through nature as well as quaint towns for dining and shopping.

What is the first step when purchasing a home?
You will need to decide if you will be paying in all cash or getting financing. If you will require financing your credit score should be above 660 minimum, the higher the score the better rates you typically get. So check your scores prior to applying for the mortgage so you can bring them up or dispute any errors before applying for the mortgage. Also be sure to shop around with different lenders as the rates will vary.
What should my down payment be on a house?
If you are able to put down 20% you will avoid PMI (private mortgage insurance). Lenders usually require only 3% for the sale to go through but you will be paying additional monthly payments until your Loan to Value hits the 20%.
