I am buying a home here for investment only purpose, do you recommend I rent the home as a vacation rental or long term?
This is a tough question. We like to keep it simple however. If you plan to visit the home at any time then short term (vacation rental) is the answer. Location is key to a successful short term rental, if you purchase the home in an area that may be too far from Disney, or doesn't have certain amenities, then short term will not work well for you. Please call us to discuss this in more detail as it's a complicated matter.
If I buy a second home in Florida, can I use it to rent to vacationers?
This all depends on what community your purchase in. Most of the communities in the Disney area are zoned for short term rental. If you are purchasing a home specifically to rent out short term, be sure to ask your Agent prior to, if the home is zoned correctly. If I purchase a home to use as a short term rental, does the state require any type of licensing?
Yes. The state and county require licensing. Technically you are operating a hotel in their eyes so they do require the home to be licensed. We will help you understand what they require and can recommend a company to assist.
